Noir and femme fatale atmosphere

There are times when I get carried away by black and white films where the story is colorful even without color. I have some favorites that I can watch again and again, and some of them exude an atmosphere that is hard to describe. Cigarette smoke, jazz, mysterious figures, ghosts.

Most often, the story involves a woman who influences events in a seductive and quite mystical way, even if she is not the one who commits the crime. Alongside her, there is a cynical male character who flouts social rules. This gives the whole thing its flavor.

" Domino Effect" was my third painting, made during the period when I was captivated by the noir atmosphere. The choice of subject is not accidental, because as in these films: someone is always one step ahead of you. With him, you are the missing piece and you have to realize that everything you thought was certain can be toppled in an instant. Like dominoes, one tiny move and everything you have built up until now lies in ruins. It depends on you whether you fight against it or just light it up and wait patiently...
