The power of vulnerability

I rarely paint without feeling a burning desire for what I see to be seen by others, or at least to be put on canvas.
For days I saw the symbols in front of me: fire, smoke, firefighters, a window and a dark figure behind it. They also returned in my dreams, so I absolutely had to create it. After it was finished, a few days later I actually witnessed a burned-out window, which the firefighters put out with great force.
Some say it's witchcraft, some say it's just a coincidence, but it could even be a message.
The male figure was there in my imagination the whole time and the dark figure behind the window seemed to be trying to show me his vulnerability. There is a strength in a man's vulnerability, especially if he has been taught to be tough. It is an intense moment to reach a point where you can't contain it anymore and it runs through you like wildfire.
"Burning Desire" was the final title of the painting. Let's face it, desire can cause quite a fire, often you don't even realize how much the flames have gathered above your head, you are so eager for that certain thing.
